New Jersey NJSLA Grade 4 Math Practice Tests cover

Give your fourth grader the confidence to succeed on the New Jersey NJSLA Grade 4 Math test.

This Smart Stars practice book provides five full-length, standards-aligned practice tests that mirror the length, item mix, and on-screen experience of the real New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) in Mathematics at Grade 4. Every question was written by experienced educators, reviewed for accuracy, and built around the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Mathematics at Grade 4.

The NJSLA is given to New Jersey public-school students each spring in Grades 3-8. It is a program of the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE), and the current NJSLA-Adaptive (NJSLA-A) mathematics test is delivered by Cambium Assessment, Inc. (CAI). Grade 4 math is given in two sessions and taken without a calculator (calculators are not allowed in Grades 3-5; an on-screen ruler and protractor are provided when needed: Grade 4 is the first grade that measures angles with a protractor). The adaptive test uses only machine-scorable question types: there are no long written-response questions at Grade 4: and it quietly includes a few unscored “field-test” questions that look exactly like the rest. Each practice test here follows the same shape: 45 questions per test: 41 that count plus 4 unmarked field-test-style questions: for 225 questions in all, to build true test-day endurance.
