Missouri Practice Tests
Missouri Practice Books and Flashcards
Missouri's State Tests at a Glance
In grades 3 through 8, the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) Grade-Level Assessment covers English language arts and math every year, plus science in grades 5 and 8. The tests are given online in the DRC INSIGHT secure browser, and large print, braille or paper editions are used only when a student needs one as an accommodation. There is no time limit for any test: the times below are the state's estimates for each session, and a student may not go back to a session once it is submitted. Testing takes place each spring.

| Grade 7 | Three sessions; Session 3 is performance events; online; calculator in every session; reference sheet | Untimed; about 30 to 50 minutes each for Sessions 1 and 2, and 30 to 40 minutes for Session 3 | Ratios and proportional relationships (19 to 22%), number sense and operations (15 to 19%), expressions, equations and inequalities (20 to 28%), geometry and measurement with data analysis, statistics and probability (18 to 33%), performance event (15%) |

Session 3 holds performance events, where students apply what they know to explore and analyze a more complex scenario; each year the performance event can come from any reporting category. In grades 4 and 5 a calculator is allowed only as an accommodation in a student's IEP or 504 plan, and using a calculator in grade 3 math invalidates the score. In grades 6 to 8 the Desmos calculator is built into the test, and students may also use a handheld calculator.
