Maine Through Year Assessment Grade 3 Math Practice Tests cover

Give your third grader the confidence to succeed on the Maine Through Year Assessment Grade 3 Math test.

This Smart Stars practice book provides five full-length, standards-aligned practice tests that mirror the length, session structure, and item mix of the real Maine Through Year Assessment in Mathematics. Every question was written by experienced educators, reviewed for accuracy, and built around the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics at Grade 3, the standards the Maine test measures.

The Maine Through Year Assessment is given to Maine public-school students in grades 3-8 (and once in high school) and is administered for the Maine Department of Education by NWEA, online and computer-adaptive, with a paper form offered as an accommodation. There are three testing windows (fall, winter, and spring) and the spring test is the one that counts toward grade-level results. The spring Grade 3 math test is untimed (usually scheduled across about two hours in two or three short sessions), uses no calculator, and asks about 50 questions: roughly 27 that count toward the score (reported as a Maine scale score and an achievement level: Well Below, Below, At, or Above State Expectations), about 18 growth questions, and about 5 unscored field-test questions. On the real test a student cannot tell these apart, so each practice test here follows the same 50-question shape, and every one of the 250 questions in this book is fully answered.
