Mississippi MAAP Grade 4 Math Practice Tests cover

Give your fourth grader the confidence to succeed on the Mississippi MAAP Grade 4 Math test.

This Smart Stars practice book provides five full-length, standards-aligned practice tests that mirror the length, item mix, and question types of the real MAAP assessment in Mathematics. Every question was written by experienced educators, reviewed for accuracy, and built around the 2016 Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards for Mathematics at Grade 4, so the topics and emphasis match what Mississippi students actually see.

MAAP (the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program) is the test the Mississippi Department of Education gives to every public-school student in Grades 3-8. It is delivered by Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) as a computer-based, fixed-form test given in one session, with a paper form available as an accommodation. The Grade 4 math test uses no calculator, and it blends single-answer multiple choice with multiple-select (“select the two”), type-in answers, table-style match and true/false items worth two points, and two-part questions. On the test a student answers about 49 scored questions, with a few unscored field-test questions mixed in invisibly. Each practice test here follows that same shape: 49 scored-style questions plus 9 field-test-style questions, 58 in all, for 290 questions across the book: to build true test-day endurance.

What’s inside

No calculator at Grade 4. The real test provides an on-screen ruler and protractor and a short reference sheet of measurement conversions, and no calculator is allowed: so students practice exactly as they will test, with only pencil, paper, and what they have learned. An inch ruler is helpful for the measurement and line-plot questions.
