MAP (the Missouri Assessment Program) is the test the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) gives to every public-school student in Grades 3-8. It is delivered by Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) on the INSIGHT online platform, as a fixed-form spring assessment, with paper, large-print, and braille forms available as accommodations. The Grade 3 math test is given in three sessions, uses no calculator and no reference sheet, and blends single-answer multiple choice with multiple-select (“select the two”), type-in answers, drop-down and drag tasks, and a Session 3 of Performance Events where students show their work and explain their thinking. On the test a student answers 44 scored questions worth 48 points, with a few unscored field-test questions mixed in invisibly. Each practice test here follows that same shape: 44 scored-style questions plus 4 field-test-style questions, 48 in all, for 240 questions across the book: to build true test-day endurance.

No calculator and no reference sheet. The real Grade 3 test provides neither, so students practice exactly as they will test: with only pencil, paper, and what they have learned. An inch-and-centimeter ruler is helpful for the measurement and line-plot questions.
